Kevin Harmer has joined ArchitectNow as Chief AI & Data Officer. He started on July 27 and will expand our Data & AI practice. His remit is the part of an AI program that decides whether the rest of it works: whether the data underneath is ready, governed, and trusted.
Why this seat
Most of the attention in enterprise AI goes to the model and the interface. The work that determines whether either one produces anything useful happens earlier, in the data estate: what exists, where it lives, whether people trust it, and who governs it.
ArchitectNow already holds the Microsoft Solutions Partner designation for Data & AI, along with the AI Apps on Azure Specialization. Adding a Chief AI & Data Officer puts named executive ownership behind that practice as it grows.
What Kevin brings
Kevin brings more than 30 years of experience translating emerging technology into measurable enterprise value. He has delivered AI, data, and cloud solutions across manufacturing, energy, financial services, healthcare, higher education, public sector, telecommunications, retail, and consumer goods.
That work has produced revenue lift through data-driven customer engagement, new AI-powered products and services, and cost savings through operational and logistics efficiency.
His Microsoft experience spans the same three decades, covering Azure, Microsoft Foundry, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Microsoft 365, Copilot, and Power Platform. He presents regularly at webinars and community conferences, most often on Microsoft Fabric.
What he will own
Working alongside our leadership team, Kevin will:
- Expand our work with partners and customers on AI-ready data estates
- Scale AI, agent, and analytic automation
- Deepen the AI and data governance that makes analytics trustworthy and broadly usable
PLACEHOLDER, DO NOT PUBLISH. Quote from Kevin Grossnicklaus, President & CEO, pending. Should say why this seat and why now, and name the decision ArchitectNow made about where the practice is going.
What it means for our clients
Kevin's approach pairs strategy and design with delivery, so clients apply AI and data responsibly and measure results in production rather than in presentations. For teams whose AI plans keep running into the state of their own data, that is the work he is here to lead.
